Só a luz que fere  o escuro  toma o horizonte, carregado e denso. Tudo o resto é sombra, apesar da manhã.

Dias de inverno, mais que isso, de invernia, ou não se sentisse no ar o silvo do vento húmido que desconforta e tudo afasta, mesmo as gralhas, mesmo os pardais…

Subo a pequena elevação a custo. É  íngreme, e a areia por baixo dos pés é relativamente mole. Procuro a vantagem de um horizonte desimpedido. Não é fácil:  um mar de copas verdes, aqui e ali pontuado por esta ou aquela árvore mais alta, perturba-me a  largura do grande écran.

Detenho-me a olhar.  Fotografo. Quero guardar a luz, o torvelinho das nuvens, o escuro do dia. Aguardo um pouco tomado pela inconstância do efémero. Até que as nuvens se fecham. Por completo.

Mata dos Medos

Olho o chão: o amarelo de uma tenra flor de chorão, a primeira do ano, é agora a luz que há pouco me sangrava o céu.

Magia certamente. Eu sei, que tudo vi e tudo fotografei!

Only the light that lacerates the darkness, takes hold of the laden, dense horizon. All that remains is shadow, in spite of the morning.

Winter days, better yet, wintery days, or would not the  air come alive with the whistle of the damp wind that discomforts and repels everything, even the crows, even the sparrows… 

I climb the small elevation at cost, It is steep, and the sand underneath my feet is relatively soft. I look for the advantage of an unencumbered horizon. It isn’t easy: a sea of green tree tops, punctuated here and there by this or that taller tree, hinders my view of the majestic screen.

I stop to look. I photograph. I want to register the light, the whirlwind of clouds, the darkness of the day. I stay for a while, overwhelmed by the inconsistency of the ephemeral. Until the clouds fold unto themselves. Totally.

I look down to the ground: the yellow of a tender ice plant flower, the first of the year, is now the light that a while ago bled the sky.

Sheer magic. I know it. I that have seen and photographed  it all!
